The Department of Transportation (DOT) has created new rules about commercial airlines.
Emotional Support Dogs are pets that do not have any special access.
Psychiatric Service Dogs have the same access rights as other Service Dogs.
Are you are looking for a fast and easy way to turn your pet dog into a Psychiatric Service Dog so you can fly with it?
Stop.
Ask yourself why access is only for Service Dogs which perform a task.
Tasks are a trained behavior to assist the handler with a disability.
Also called a disability-mitigating task, this is the work that Service Dogs perform. Service Dogs must be able to perform their task(s) in all types of settings.
Service Dog and handler teams need to travel without distraction from rude dogs.
Rude dogs refer to dogs that are obtrusive, disobedient, fearful, vocal or aggressive. Service Dogs are not allowed to be out of control or a threat to the public. This includes going to the bathroom in the wrong place or making noise that is not related to a Service Dog task.
A crowed airport or airplane should not trigger unsafe behaviors and/or bad manners.
Designed to help you and your dog become a Service Dog team, this course will help you pass the Public Access Test.
You will also teach your dog at least one task to assist you with your disability.
Your Service Dog will need good manners and attentiveness along with obedience training.
This course is not designed for Service Dog training for the hearing or sight impaired.
Invitations to join our upcoming courses are included.
The first release will be for Psychiatric Service Dog task training.
Next will be courses for:
Mobility Service Dog Tasks, Autism Support Tasks, Medical Alert Tasks, Allergen Alert Tasks and Diabetic Alert Tasks.

THIS COURSE IS THE FINAL STEP BETWEEN PET AND SERVICE DOG
I began training dogs in 1986 and founded Balanced Obedience in 2008 and began training Service Dogs that year.
My passion is to help people and their dogs have the best relationship possible.
My education was in Zoology, Psychology and Law. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology with a double major in Psychology. Psychology focuses on behavior and Zoology focuses on ethology and evolution. My education gave me a broad perspective on the application and limitations of science.
Over my decades as a dog trainer, I can see the conflicts between ethologists versus behaviorists.
Service Dog training is my passion. As an inactive attorney, I created a program that ensures that State and Federal regulations for Service Dogs are met.
My favorite breeds include: Poodles, German Shepherds, Rottweilers and Australian Cattle Dogs.
My goal is to help people have the best behaved puppy or dog that is happy to please.
